About Us

Kristi

Kristi's second love, after her family, are her animals, which now include (alphabetically) alpacas, cats, beef cattle, chickens, dogs, ducks, geese, horses and llamas The Argyle Fiber Mill brings people from different communities together.  Every person we work with adds to this rhythm of making good things happen through hard work. There is enthusiasm in the air, and plenty of room for all of us. We are dedicated to the support of local industry. If more people knit, spin and weave, the world would be a calmer place.

Carrie Johnson, along with husband Eric, own Jordandal Farm in Argyle, WI. They have been shepherds for 6 years and have chosen Icelandic sheep as their breed due to meat and fiber quality. This breed is dual-coated and comes in many different colors so the fiber is in high demand by hand spinners and knitters alike. Along with the sheep, the Johnsons raise Scottish Highland cattle, pastured pork and poultry and 8 acres of produce. They are vendors at several local farmers markets in and around Madison, WI. Farm visits are welcome by appointment.
